Helicobacter Pylori is a spiral shaped bacteria, that lives in the digestive tract, precisely in the stomach.
Around two thirds of the world population carries this bacteria. For most people, it does not cause any problems, while in others can cause a various spectrum of diseases, starting from upset stomach, gastritis, ulcer to more serious such as stomach cancer. However, the world of science is astonished by the discovery of this Japanese doctor who reveals how to kill bacteria Helicobacter Pylori definitively.
While in previous decades, the thought that the acid secreted by stomach glands protects it from microorganisms, and in such environment staying bacterial agent was unthinkable, in the early 80’s a group of Australian medical scientists, showed that Helicobacter Pylori is the main cause of peptic ulcer and gastritis.
Before this time, the scientists believed that peptic ulcer and gastritis are caused by stress, smoking, unhealthy diet etc.
While at first, the medical community was somewhat skeptical of the discovery , then this fact was accepted, after being verified by medical studies, such as the endoscopy and breathing test.
How do we get infected?
It is believed that we probably get this bacteria in our early childhood. It enters in our stomach by the mouth, so if you don’t wash your hands regularly or don’t wash the fruits and vegetables before eating, the chances to get this bacteria rise. Also, H.Pylorican be transmitted thru saliva from persons which have this bacteria in the stomach, no matter if they are symptom free.
For example, by kissing with a person infected with H.Pylori or drinking from the same glass.
